Intermission Repercussions

Major Event 5, Oxford, October2013
1930-35, Hosted by The Mourning Veil

- Approaching the Parliament’s latest manifestation within the memory cities of the Shade, everyone becomes aware of hundreds of crashed, ruined aeroplanes, a veritable maze of broken dreams, repercussions of The Gate overshadowing the Dream...

- Most Coteries give impassioned overtures, overseen by a strange being resembling a ragged, ancient Winged, calling himself Pahl’Muun, the spirit of Parliament. Pahl’Muun seems even more tired and possibly wounded. The Dirt are recognized, amongst tough company, as the best Overture, and Isolde of House Raptor wins Conductorship. Strangely, Crowley is able to sing an (unpopular) Overture, and Pahl’Muun seems powerless to stop him.

- There are cabaret Mimes, everywhere. And messengers from some places called the “Above” and “Below”

- Elsie hosts a Disappointing Cake competition. The winner is Malihoma’s apathetic fortune cookies.

- The Mourning Veil erect an aura of Despair in the passageway adjoining the three other halls. They name it the Gloom Room.

- Crowley continues to make deals. However,a powerful song is performed to harm his progress. It appears to be successful. How he will react is yet to be seen…

- A number of Jaunts into Dreamscapes occur: disagreements between two overlapping Dream-cities; a giant ape’s attack on a fictional city; an ascetic Dreamer’s march across the desert for redemption; an aquatic beast of ancient times raises it’s head; A MiniTru informer calls for Aid…

- A party from Raptor House Aquillas give the Raptors & Red a goal - to influence a human dreamer into acts of War and Tyranny. Under the guidance of Tyrannus Primus Aquilla, the two Coteries succesfully create a “Guide” for a new age, to lead a people into bloodshed, tyranny and thunder.

- Donafon the Kingfisher leads a Riverstates group to the mysterious “Source” of the River. What they encounter there is not widely known, but two members return changed: Rico the Duck is now Sabine the Swan, and Ischarrion has become The Wellspring, Avatar of The River. Elector Ferdinand claims a strange Mirror that appears in the Parliament, for the Parliament. It is a large polished-metal mirror, the frame decorated with animal Swans, Xenos, and strange alien creatures unrecognizable. Looking into it shows a dark shadowy mass where your reflection should be… most of the time. It has stayed in Parliament, and can be investigated.
Donafon does not return...

- Two strange “Future Men”, Flash & Buck, come looking for aid to fire The Creator’s remains out into the unknown. They receive little aid…

- Empress Articana returns, heralding the River’s truthful Season of Masks…

- Pallas and Gibbs are obviously murdered in the Parliament by members of The Red. Nothing seems to be done about it. Gibbs and Pallas soon return, temporarily, looking for retribution.

- The Bounty Crew go after the remains of the Wavefarer ship Authority. They are successful, and from it gain the last resting place of the ship of “The Mariner”, The Wavefarer. Bloodreaver does not return - apparently he died fighting an immense Ifanc, or leviathan...

- A group of Pigeons host an eating contest. Many Doughnuts and Cookies are consumed! The pigeons seem very interested in many things’ stability, often commenting what a shame it would be for many things to suddenly… catch on fire. Fights occur.

- An emissary from House Locos comes to discuss matters with House Gustav, looking for answers about missing Prince Caldwyr Locos. He discovers Caldwyr alive and grown in House Gustav, and instead of war, an alliance of Marriage is built between the two. Caldwyr is to be married to a member of Schloss Gustav…

- A large group of Dreamer Criminals attempt to take control of the Parliament. Theya re unsuccessful.

- Two Actors, Bela and William, come looking for inspiration. All they find is TERROR.

- The Plunderheart fleet, in revenge for the destruction of the Bisector, attack Dunny-On-The-Rock. The Plunderhearts look for aid from Captain Jim Ross, while Havenholme’s defenses are organized by… a Rogue Puffin, who swiftly abandons the fleet. Hundreds of Puffins & Cormorants are killed in the ravaging of Dunny, despite Ross’ orders. With their leadership murdered or captured, Havenholme is disbanded.

- A Doctor comes seeking aid, as he is attacked by Faceless Butchers, a familiar scene. Lorri the Urban Swan solves his conundrum… but not before arms are raised against the Butchers, invalidating the previous treaty: the Influenza Butchers, and their disease allies, now see Parliament as Enemies again...

- A woman called “Tes” comes looking for the Dirt…

- A Nutcracker Dean comes looking for Myrrhvynn…

- The Bounty, with Pallas & Gibbs, make a sufficient sacrifice to free the Piscine’s prisoner, the Angler, in actuality the first Wavefarer, the Mariner. There seems to be problems with the Piscine. The Mariner’s release reunites the schismatic Wavefarers… yet loud, booming rumour abounds he is unhappy with Pallas & Gibbs unavenged deaths…

- A Dreamer author named Huxley is haunted by his long dead grandfather. Huxley seemed to be a decent person… who agreed on many terms with the strange Aleister Crowley. His grandfather, meanwhile, was convinced that some Dreamers were naturally superior to others.

- As the Parliament fades, it is noted that owl Theodora does not return amongst her sad compatriots...
